Daniel
Born in San Diego and raised in Black Mountain, NC, from age 5, the mountains of Western North Carolina fueled Daniel's energetic and adventurous nature. Daniel found outlets for his energy in music, clubs, and the outdoors. Picking up the guitar in 2000, he loves playing and singing in worship, teaching others to play or sing, and has written a book and hosts local training workshops for audio technology. Drawn to Blacksburg because of its likeness to Black Mtn., he joined the Hokie nation in 2005. In his free time, Daniel can be found slacklining, playing guitar, mountain biking, listening to music, playing with Elias, and generally enjoying the outdoors.
Sarah
Sarah was born and raised in Fluvanna County, just 20 minutes outside Charlottesville, VA. Coming from a long lineage of UVA alums, Sarah broke the mold and became a Hokie in 2005. Raised by Wahoos, Sarah excelled in academics and found a passion for architecture, history, reading, and art, but she was never one to be called a nerd. Sarah played competitively in five sports throughout high school and primarily focused on volleyball. As a reflection of her balance in academics and sports, she likes to do a little bit of everything. You can find Sarah in her free time reading, listening to podcasts, exercising, making crafts, baking, and taking selfies with Elias.
Elias
One of the spunkiest and coolest kids you’ll ever meet, Elias joined the team in 2016. Immediately he began ministering to college students in his own way. His energy is limitless, and he only ever sees the best in people. He cares deeply for others and is always offering to help and inviting people to stay for dinner. Growing up surrounded by college students, Elias is a younger sibling at heart. Influenced by their presence, his hobbies, taste in music, and ability to hold a discussion is well beyond his years. He loves all things green, especially frogs and garbage trucks, and can be found playing Lego, dancing to music, drumming, playing Minecraft, and riding his bike.
